“Who are we? HONORIA! Our colors are blue and white! And what do we do? We run the school, we run the school, we run the school!”

HONORIA is a spirit club, was one of the first clubs brought to Miami High, and is most known for hosting Mr. Miami High event. At first, HONORIA was an all-girl club but is now co-ed and welcomes anyone who has a GPA of 2.0 or above.

HONORIA has 111 members, and according to club historian Alberto Rivas, “HONORIA is a club made to show spirit towards the school.”

Junior Alexa Melendez said, “HONORIA is a club dedicated to show that students have spirit for school.”

1st vice president Beverly Paiz adds HONORIA is a club that does many events for the school such as service, socials, and Mr. Miami High.

Bonding is the best part about HONORIA; the club has a family-like bond. “Everyone is always happy and making each other laugh. If anyone is down, it’s our job to make them happy,” said Alexa Melendez.

“HONORIA is amazing. It’s the best bond of all time. We cheer up anyone who’s down,” said Lauren Velez.

Many kids change their club choice throughout the years, but HONORIA members stay true to their club and enjoy it very much. Club member Alexa Melendez is happy with her club choice. She said, “This club has become my family, and I wouldn’t have gone through high school without them.”

Enrriet Leiva said, “HONORIA is incomparable to any other club at Miami High since we have such great officers and an amazing advisor.”
