Chess coach Mr. Julio Aguilar reports that the chess team competed and were co-champions in the Chess Day tournament on October 14. He would like to congratulate Maveli Guerrero, Kedrick Chirino, Erick Rodriguez, Dariel Chavez, Steven Mencia, Roberto Luna-Garcia, and Jonathan Navarro. There was also be a facilitator’s meeting on October 25 to discuss the K-12 tournament happening on December 8-9. Mr. Aguilar also invites anybody interested in joining the chess team, to pass by room 5209 at any time.
