Billie Eilish is a young pop singer and songwriter who inspires many young fans with her music. According to an article posted on the Billboard magazine website, Billie Eilish, 17, was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and began singing and writing her own music at the very young age of 11.

Stings are Fans
Billie Eilish has many fans here in Miami Senior High. Senior Maria Morales said, “Billie is a unique artist with different vibes and emotions throughout her songs. Her music is very therapeutic.” Senior Yvtte Smith adds, “She is different and has such a great personality and definitely stands out from all of the new upcoming artists.”

Albums

According to the Billboard article, after uploading her single “Ocean Eyes” for her dance class, Billie began getting fame and recognition in 2016. Billie released her first album “Don’t Smile at Me” in August 2017 and it reached top 15 in the United States. “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” is her second studio album, and it was released on March 29, 2019, and charted number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

This album had 13 songs and went trending quickly. “Her newest album was really good. I liked how she had songs for everyone’s taste and all the songs were different from the others,’’ said junior Chanel Carbonell. Senior Bryan Castillos added that Billie included more upbeat happy songs in this album than on her previous album.

People don’t all agree about which song is their favorite. Senior Dante Galan’s favorite is “Lovely” because that song touched him and made him feel some type of way.

Songs 

Junior Chanel Carbonell’s favorite song is “Idontwannabeyouanymore” because “I really enjoy the beat, and the lyrics changed my point of view on a few things. Plus, this song always brings me good happy memories.”

Music has a great impact on people whether you listen to music to calm down or hype you up. Junior Carlos Realegeno said that Billie’s music makes him feel different all the time, and it all depends on “the song’’ and the emotions that he’s going through.” Dante Realeageno said that her music makes him feel “lovey.” Senior Catherine Cabrera added Billie’s music is very “soothing and calming.”

Nowadays, teens listen to songs and artists that are recommended by their friends. Maria Morales would definitely recommend Billie Eilish’s music to others because she thinks that teens would relate to her music for the simple fact that Billie Eilish struggles with depression. On the other hand, senior Catherine Cabrera wouldn’t recommend Billie’s music to others because “it’s simply not everyone’s cup of tea.”
