Mr. Zabala, one of our assistant principals and most known for being the Croc police, is getting ready to leave his Miami High days behind. He started his teaching career in 1986, his first job being in Arvida Middle School and later teaching at Kinloch Middle School and Braddock Senior High. He became an assistant principal in 1997 and still is to this day. He has been an assistant principal at Arvida Middle School (1997-2000), W. R. Thomas Middle School (2000-2003), Paul Bell Middle School (2003-2006), Braddock Senior High (2006-2008), Ferguson Senior High (2008-2012), with his last school being Miami Senior High (2012-2024 ). After decades of teaching and administrating, Mr. Zabala’s official retirement date is March 31st, 2024. However, he might request an extension to finish off the 2023-2024 school year (by Darla Paniagua).
