Future Business Leaders of America’s (FBLA) President Jancarlos Alvarado reported that they attended the District Leadership Lunch on November 28th where FBLA clubs from different schools in the district gathered to enjoy lunch, engage in games, and participate in discussions. The next thing on their schedule is the FBLA District Competition which is coming up on January 11th with 33 Miami High students competing. These students are competing in such areas as Accounting 1, Accounting 2, Personal Finance, Economics, Hospitality and Event Management, Organizational Leadership, Business Communications, and Journalism. 

    According to FBLA sponsor Mr. Padilla, to prepare for these competitions and celebrate the holidays, FBLA hosted a study session and holiday social on December 14th at 2:30 PM. This was a good opportunity for FBLA members to support each other and build a sense of community before the upcoming district competitions.
