After years of being known as Anime Nation, the club has officially changed their name to the Art & Animation Club or AAC.
“We felt as though the name Anime Nation was outdated, especially since our club doesn’t solely deal with anime in this day and age,” stated club Vice President Braynon Gay. “The name Art & Animation Club provides a broader description of what our club stands for and who we cater to, which I feel will cause more people who may be a good fit for our club to join us and make friends.”
Currently, many of the club’s members consist of artists with interest in not only anime, which is solely Japanese cartoons, but animation and cartoons from all cultures and walks of life. This includes all cartoons, gaming, movies, and anything that involves art and/or animation.
The club is advised by Dr. B. Ricknauth and hosts meetings every Thursday after-school in room 3315 at 2:30 pm. They welcome anyone who needs a club where they can feel as though they belong and make friends whilst indulging in their artistic, gaming, and cartoon related interests. They are always accepting new members regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or where they come from.
