Head varsity basketball coach Mr. Humberto “Tico” Govea still has high expectations for the season despite losing by 11 points to Sagemont in December. The team’s overall record this season as of January 14, 2025, is 13-3. The next home game is against Belen on 1/14/25. The team’s top scorers are senior forward/center Aaron Richard, averaging 15.9 points per game, and senior guard Romari Robinson with 13.9 points per game.
The toughest opponent this season so far was Sagemont. The team’s best win so far was against Saint Peter’s, a team they faced in New Jersey that is currently ranked #1 in their state. They will be traveling up to Fort Myers soon on January 18 to play their opponent from Tampa which is Berkeley Prep. (by Joshua Guerrero).
