Boys basketball coach Mr. Humberto “Tico” Govea reports that
the team’s overall record at the end of the season was 22-6. The
season was cut short due to their big loss in the Regional
championship game against Columbus, who was their toughest
opponent this season. Their most competitive matchup this
season was against Northwestern, where Miami High came
short 50-52. The team’s best win this whole season was 54-51
against Saint Peter’s Prep, and this was on the same night that
the team had traveled up to New Jersey.
Honorable mentions this season go out to Aaron Richard
(Senior) averaging 16.3 points per game, Romari Robinson
(Senior) averaging 14.6 points per game, Joseph Jean (Senior)
averaging 12.1 points per game.
9 players on the team are seniors.
