BETA advisor Dr. Hueck reports that the club won 1st place in the homecoming parade for the fifth straight year. “Everyone did a phenomenal job. I want to thank everyone who contributed to the win,” he said.

He also reports that the club is going to start serving the community more often now that homecoming is over. “On November 5th, about 40 of our members attended the Walk to End Alzheimer’s service, where they helped set up and assisted participants,” he said. “We have another community service opportunity, ‘Moving Day’, coming up on November 13th. This service is dedicated to end Parkinson’s disease, and we already have around 50 members signed up.”

Dr. Hueck adds that the club will be having back-to-back socials this weekend. “On Friday, November 11, we will be having a Foam/Glow Fest. Everyone is welcomed, but non-members have to pay $5,” he said. The club will be hosting a formal victory social on Saturday, November 12, celebrating the club’s big win in this year’s homecoming parade. Only club members will be allowed to attend this social.
