The Miami Senior High choir went to District Solo & Ensemble on February 3rd. The Miami Voice choir made it to State Solo & Ensemble. The students who made it to State for their duets are Matthew Rodriguez and Xochilt Coca as well as Matthew and Micheal Porras. Joseph Busto made it as well with his jazz solo. Christopher Tayes, Jianna Aragon, Matthew Rodriguez, Luna Carrera, and Ashlyn Gomez made it to state with their musical theater solos.
Next week 3 students–Joseph Busto, Ashlyn Gomez, and Justin Brook–will be representing the school in the regional choir. On March 1st, the choir will be attending MPA also known as Music Performance Assessment where they will receive choral evaluations at the district level.
