Do you ever wonder what movie your school most resembles and how cool it would be if it was real?  

  To me, life at Miami High seems most like Garfield. That’s because when people get to school, all they want to do is sleep and they are lazy. The main difference between Garfield and Miami High is in the movie, he had good food and could sleep without waking up early for school. But here at Miami High, we have to wake up early and eat the nasty food they give us. Garfield could be lazy all he wants to, but not at Miami High though. 

Ariana Wallace, a senior, said Miami High is most like the movie High School Musical because we have a lot of clubs and a lot of activities. She points out how in High School Musical, there was a basketball game at the end where there is so much school spirit, but she believes Miami High doesn’t have that much spirit here. “Our clubs have spirit but the people that come to watch the club’s activities don’t have spirit,” she said. 

   Maiya Rene, a sophomore, also believes our school is like High School Musical but the main difference between High School Musical and Miami High is that in the movie there was only one bully and one main character. “In Miami High, there are more bullies here than in the Musical,” she said. 

   To freshman Oriana Cockfield, Miami High seems like Mean Girls because at Miami High you can fun and do a lot of new things like they do in Mean Girls.  “One difference,” she says, “is that Miami High has a variety of people and different style, but in Mean Girls they don’t have that many people from different cultures.” 

   Melanie Hogan, a junior, said Miami High is like Harry Potter because the school halls remind her of Hog Warts. “In Harry Potter, though, they have different types of students with different magic and in Miami High, we have different students that stay with their own group,” she said. 

  Dia Calendar, a ninth grader says Miami High feels like The Tortured because being at Miami High makes you feel drained and just being here is torture for her. “The main difference is that at the High we got to wake up early and we be happy, but then in the movie they make it seem happy but it’s really not.”
