Club advisor Ms. Chouza reports that the Spanish Honor Society had a
successful and eventful 2025-26 school year. One of the club’s biggest
accomplishments was having president senior Rowbrant Blanco win Mr. Miami
High, bringing pride and recognition to the club. Another major achievement
came when member junior Guillermo Sanchez won Sting’s Got Talent.
Ms. Chouza said the club “rocked it this year” because of the many
accomplishments and strong teamwork shown by members.
The Spanish Honor Society was also very active during Homecoming and
Hispanic Heritage Month. For the first time, the club performed during
Homecoming activities while also organizing events for Hispanic Heritage Month
in September. Ms. Chouza said that balancing both events at the same time was
challenging, but the members worked hard to make everything successful. She
added that the club introduced several new events this year that turned out to be
a great success.
Ms. Chouza is also pleased to recognize the club’s seniors for their dedication
and leadership throughout the school year. She described the members as “a
little family” because of how supportive and united they are. She also praised
Rowbrant Blanco for his leadership as this year’s president and announced that
junior Lorena Válido will serve as president next year.
Although the school year was busy and stressful at times, the Spanish Honor
Society continued to stay active and organized. According to Ms.Chouza, they
have already started preparing for next year by completing banners and planning
future events early. Members will also remain active during the summer as they
prepare for club kickoff activities and another busy Homecoming and Hispanic Heritage season next year.
