Principal Mr. Valdes reports the school district has implemented a new law: all doors must be locked due to safety concerns and to keep students inside the buildings. He admits, “It’ll be harder for students to get around. However, it can also be a much safer environment when threats are presented.“ The state will only allow one door per building to be open, but the state hasn’t approved which door that will be for each building. However, administration is in the process of getting it approved.
