The Debate team, with the rest of the Alliance, got 2nd place for creativity in the homecoming parade with the theme of Voldemort. The Alliance was made up of many clubs and honor societies, like Mu Alpha Theta, Law and Leadership, and the English Honor Society. 

    They are also having their first debate tournament on October 29th. Sadly, it will be only online. However, the tournament being online makes it easily accessible for anyone who wants to observe and see how the club works. 

 The debate team administrator Ms. Yanelle Perez states, “We are still accepting new members. Even though you won’t be an official member till January, you can still join us at events before that date.” They are practicing every Monday after school, and you only need a 2.0 – 2.5 GPA to join (by Sofia Herrera).
