Band director Mr. Santiago Hernandez reports the marching band’s amazing performance on February 8, 2024, featured live on Univision’s Subete al 23 in celebration of the showcase of Versailles, a popular Cuban restaurant.
On March 28, the marching band will be performing at the Marlins Opening Day. Drumline and Color guard will be holding auditions soon for the upcoming marching season so stay informed on when and where. It will be posted on the MDB Instagram: miamiseniorhighband.
Apart from our marching band, 8 band students from the symphonic band class will be representing Miami Senior High at the State Solo & Ensemble Festival. Not only is this a huge moment for the selected students but the whole ensemble will be performing at MPA (an event in which they acquire a rating on their performance) on March 7.
As part of the band program offered at Miami High, there will be a Spring Band Concert, where each band class showcases what they’ve learned throughout the school year. This concert will be held on April 11 in the auditorium.
