As the 2025–2026 school year comes to an end, Mr. Pavon, advisor of Mu Alpha Theta, reflected on the club’s growth and success throughout the year. One of the biggest accomplishments was that membership almost doubled compared to last year. Since it was Mr. Pavon’s first year as advisor during the previous school year, he explained that he now has a better understanding of how the club works and how to support its members. The increase in membership also allowed more students to receive tutoring help in math.
One challenge the club faced this year was that many of the officers were new to their positions. Mr. Pavon shared that learning how to stay organized and keep up with responsibilities was difficult at first, but the officers improved as the year went on.
Several members were recognized for their dedication and hard work. Angel Arellano earned many tutoring points and was known for always helping others. Nelson Garcia stood out for being very active and attending every meeting. Xavier Alvarez completed the most tutoring hours, while Chelsea Muniz was recognized for consistently participating in meetings, socials, and club activities.
The officers for the 2025–2026 school year were President Adonis Yanez, 1st Vice President Javorie Wilson, 2nd Vice President Alexandra Chao, Corresponding Secretaries Katherine Quijada, Cristian Leon, Stephanie Martinez, and Lucas Aguirre, Recording Secretary Sarita Marcet, Public Relations Denis Lopez, Historians Ken Martinez, Katherine Carranza, Ashley Lambert, and Danna Alfonso, and Treasurer Samuel Mondragon.
