Try-Outs

Cheer-leading team advisor Ms. Sands reports that try outs for next year’s cheer-leading squad will be held on March 20th-23rd  in the dance room. “Cheerleading try-outs are open to anyone and everyone,” said Ms. Sands. “The maximum amount of people that can be in the squad is 21.”

As of right now, there are 11 old varsity cheer-leaders trying out. Ms. Sands hope to have 11 more on the varsity team next year. As for requirements, students who want to try out must have a 2.0 GPA and have their MANDATORY school insurance purchased. (This can be done on March 15-16th in room 1218 with Mr. Monteaguodo.)

Ms. Sands would like the new squad members to be well mannered, well behaved and always know what they need to do. “I want everyone to know that academic comes first,” said Ms. Sans. “As far as this year,  the squad has been very dedicated to cheerleading.”

Ms. Sands also would like all students who are trying out that cheer-leading is a lot of work and dedication and there is always conditioning and practicing the summer!
