Performers stood in front of an audience to present poetry they enjoy or made themselves.

The English Honor Society held its traditional Literary Café on December 20 after school in the back of the Media Center. Featuring prose readings from students and teachers as well as a performance from the choir, the event ran from around 3:15 pm to 5:00 pm. There were 106 attendees and 38 readers. Club president Ruth Canovas was pleasantly surprised by the turnout, which she said was so large that there was a continual shortage of chairs. The club raised $68 through admission fees and $70 through snack sales for a total of $138 raised.
