On Saturday, April 7, the Miami High Alumni Association awarded 43 scholarships worth $22,500 to this year’s seniors. During the ceremony held in the theater, 41 of the students received the $500 awards, and seniors Azhar Moihdeen and Ariel Trueba received the top $1,000 scholarships. Cory Cibran, the MHS Alumni Association president, said, “I wish we would have collected 5k more and then all 56 students that applied would have received a scholarship. They were all so deserving, just not enough [money] to go around.”

Even after graduating, these individuals are giving back to their school through the Alumni Association.
