FCCLA and Fashion Design Students Rack up Prizes

Fashion Technology and Design teacher Ms. Belony would like to recognize her students who participated in the Miami-Dade County Youth Expo. They submitted various projects in the Sewing and Fashion Show Competition. Congratulations to:

  • Sophia Silva – Sportswear and Business wear – First and Second Place – $175.00
  • Breidi Andrade – Business wear – First Place – $100.00
  • Jarlene Alvarez – Business wear – Second Place – $75.00
  • Nabetse Melendez – Formal Wear – Second Place – $75.00
  • Cierra Rogers – Formal wear – Second Place – $75.00
  • Claudia Santana – Sportswear – Third place – $50.00
  • Yaneisy Dampiel – Formal Wear – First Place $100.00
  • Lianet Valdes – Business wear – Fourth Place – Honorable Mention

Shout out to Blanca Escobar who did a tremendous job in modeling some of the garments, and Yasnara Hernandez who helped back stage. Ms. Belony would like to recognize Yvannie Soto and Henry Pineda who received the Purple Ribbon for their exceptional work in sewing.

Ms. Belony is also delighted to announce the outstanding accomplishments of the following students at this year’s FCCLA leadership conference held in Orlando earlier in March. Congratulations to:
