Mami High’s boys’ basketball team had a great season, but unfortunately lost 69-58 in the regional quarter finals against Pines Charter on February 21st. The team ended with a 17-7 record and won the 2019 District 14-9A championship against North Miami 69-60 on February 15th.

Coach Wilson would like to recognize sophomores Justin Neely as the MVP, James McBride as the best shooter, Taderrius Davis as the best shot blocker, and seniors Louis Louissaint as the defensive guard and Ethan Clavero as the point guard.

“This year was a great turnaround from last year’s 5-16 season. We accomplished so much with this really young team,” said Coach Wilson. “The future of MHS boys basketball is really bright.”
