Black History Month Show

Miami High held its annual Black History Month show on March 11th during 4th period, in the auditorium. Attending were select classes invited throughout the school. The event featured a play from Miami High’s very own theater group Thespians, and featured musical performances from students. The play went over the experience of a young black girl attending a predominantly white school, only to face harassment and be set up for a prank that would cost her her life at the hands of racist police officers.

Two police officers draw their guns on the protagonist after suspecting her of unlawful activity based on the color of her skin.
The officer who killed the protagonist is tried for murder.
The mother of the protagonist celebrates as the officer is found guilty.
