Ms. Belony is proud to announce Sherley Gil as the new Vice President of Careers and Alumni for Region 5, which covers District 9 and District 10. Sherley has done a tremendous job leading the student organization in implementation, coordination, and participation of various activities that helped FCCLA.

Earlier, at the Youth Fair Fashion Show held on March 22, 2019:

  • Sandy Rubi came in First and Third place in Business Wear and Upcycle/Recycle and won $150.
  • Rachel Rojas came in second and third place for Formal and Business Wear and won $125.
  • Ashley Delgado came in second place for Business Wear and won $75.
  • D’Andre Johnson came in first place for Formal Wear and won $100.
  • Kiara Fernandez came in second for Upcycle/Recycle and won $75.
  • Jasmin Pena came in third place for 1960’s theme and won $50.
  • Sherley Gil came in fourth place for 1960’s theme and is an honorable mention.
  • Lianet Valdes came in fourth for Upcycle/Recycle and is an honorable mention.

Ms. Belony would like to give a shout-out to Alexandra Quiroz, Elaine Mendez, Janelle Poteau, and Takara Purcell, who did an amazing job in modeling some of the garments, Maria Bolboa and Mercy Stubbs who helped backstage. Every student was instrumental in the success of Team Stingaree at the Youth Fair. The students brought home a total of $575 in cash and prizes.
