On December 11, the Stingaree football team lost in the second round of the Tri-County Playoffs 28-14 to Palm Beach Gardens High School. Before that, however, on December 4, the Stingarees beat Coral Glades High School in the first round of the the Tri-County playoffs, 42-40.  On November 19, the Stingarees lost their final regular season game 34-20 to Miami Norland High School, leaving them with a 2-3 regular season record.

At the end of the season, coach Kyeon Jackson had a few words for some players that stood out to him:

  • “Samauri Dukes #2, 12th Grade, brings a different type of energy to the game. His work ethic in the off-season showed during the game. He’s a play maker. He can play any position and be the best on the field.”

  • “Andre Brown #26, 9th grade, is proof that when you have a great practice it leads over to the game. It all started there and he gave me the confidence to play him and start him the last 3 games of the year. Small but with the heart of a lion. Don’t fear nothing is how Andre stood out. Proper tackler. Humble and always focused. Very coachable.”

  • “Tremaine Guffin #5, Linebacker, is another one whose off season paid off during the season. Best Linebacker in Miami. He is where the ball is. 10 tackles a game. Made his presence felt. Coachable as well. He leads with play. Defensive MVP. He really played for Corey, RIP.”
