Miami High’s Color Guard’s smooth jazzy performance “Carmen de la Havana” has been performed during the half time at the last two home football games.  They performed it at Flanagan High School and placed 3rd in a category based off general effects on the audience.

The face of Miami High’s Color Guard majorette captain Olga Calixtro was nominated Homecoming princess in the royal court and was announced Homecoming Queen at the homecoming game on October 14th.

Upon request from people interested in Color Guard, they are considering having winter tryouts to form a junior varsity Color Guard. You can find out more information from their Instagram @Mhscolorguard.

Color Guard also welcomed back two instructors that have returned this year, alumni Peter Suarez and Dante Navarro.
