The choral program, directed by Ms. Cid, is always busy with competitions and invitations from world renowned choral groups across the country. Two of Miami High’s very own seniors were recognized in the highest honor in “musical world,” says Ms. Cid. Paola Pomareda, soprano 2, and Anthony Bermudez, bass 2, were accepted into the National Honor Choir of American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). This is the first time in Miami High history that two singers have been invited to this high level choir. Paola and Anthony will be showing off their Sting pride at the ACDA conference in Cincinnati, Ohio in February.

The choir continued making history with 7 students attending the Florida Music Educators Conference in the All-State Concert Choir and the All-State TTBB Choir on January 11th in Tampa, Florida. All-State Concert Choir singers are Paola Pomareda; Joseluis Garcia, bass 1; and Justin Brooks, tenor 1. In the All-State TTBB Choir are Anthony Bermudez; Maximus Moranvalle, tenor 2; Albert Acosta, tenor 1; and Winston Wiskey, bass 2 (by Xochilt Coca).
