Million Dollar Band gets Top Rating

Band director Mr.Hernández reports that on November 14, 2022, The Million Dollar band had their final performance of their competitive halftime show “Carmen de la Havana” for ratings at the Florida Bandmaster’s Association Marching Music Performance Assessment, and received the highest ratings the band has gotten since 2018!

He said, “The band had more than 75% of its members be either brand new to marching band, or brand new to their instrument/ equipment, and they have worked exceptionally hard to receive such a great rating. A big congratulations to these young performers for their accomplishments, especially our superior Majorettes/ Stingarettes!”

Advancing to the new year, jazz and symphonic bands have upcoming music performance assessments on February 3 (jazz) and March 8 (symphonic). A big congratulations to band members Paola Pomareda, Lucianne Servat, Katherine Sanchez, Albert Acosta, Justin Brooks, and Joseluis Garcia for getting invited to join the University of Miami’s Frost Honor Band on January 27 and 28!
