Spanish National Honor Society (SNHS) president Rocio Pelaez reports that on October 3rd, SNHS hosted a successful Hispanic Heritage Month panel discussion with 4 South Florida professionals: the VP of YMCA, the Senior Banking Advisor of Bank of America, an attorney, and our own television professional and teacher Mr. Amaya. This event was to shed light on the journeys of Hispanics and Hispanic Americans across various professions. SNHS’s upcoming event is Miss Hispanidad, co-hosted with Culture Club. This event will be on October 12, at 3:30 PM, in the theater. Various clubs will be representing a different Hispanic country, engaging in friendly competition and celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
