Under the leadership of President Caitlin Sandoval, Culture Circle club experienced numerous memorable moments, successfully hosted events and welcomed many new members, indicating significant growth over the 2024-25 school year.
Culture Circle is active in the summer when all members come together and plan activities for the upcoming year such as Spanish Heritage Month and Black History Month and more. Outgoing officers are Caitlin Sandoval, the president; Pierina Flores, vice president; Emily Quintero, treasurer; Joshua Viera, assistant treasurer; Emma, main historian; and Sharon Blandon, assistant historian. Over the summer, members also work on banners that welcome the freshmen and seniors. Mostly they plan what’s to come for the majority of the year.
Mr. Fertil, club advisor, states, “Most members are seniors; therefore, they are graduating making things harder, but I look forward to next year!”
He said that some students that deserve recognition are Caitlin Sandoval, who won student of the month, since she is good at leading the club, and Emily Quintero, who raises funds for the club. Mr. Fertil states, “The most challenging thing about running a club is funding because selling snacks afterschool doesn’t work that munch since there aren’t many students.”
Mr. Fertil plans to have an end-of-the-year party in his classroom with pizza and many other appetizers. They will announce the new officers to lead for the upcoming year. Mr. Fertil states, “I am excited for next year because we plan to come out stronger for Culture Circle to succeed!”
