Mr. Hernandez, the band director, reports several exciting events and opportunities coming up this spring. On March 20, 2026, the jazz ensemble will travel to Wellington High School to participate in the State Jazz Assessments, where students will perform for adjudicators and receive professional feedback on their performance.

Drumline members will also begin preparing for the upcoming season with Drumline clinics taking place March 16–17. These clinics will give students a chance to refine their skills and prepare for auditions. Official Drumline audition dates will be announced soon, along with additional clinic dates.

Later in the season, the SFWGA Winter Guard Championships will be held on April 4, 2026,
at the University of Miami Watsco Center, where the guard will compete alongside programs from across the region.

The band program will also host its annual Spring Band Concert on April 21, 2026, at the
Miami High Theater, showcasing the hard work and musical growth of students throughout the year.
