Summer is a season where many people enjoy their vacation. It’s a feeling, an escape, and a vibrant chapter of the year. It’s the time when the world seems stretched out, offering endless possibilities under the sun. From the first hint of warmth in late spring you feel the freedom and joy that summer brings you. Summer also brings you relaxation, new adventures, and a lot of memories.
Some people travel during the summer. Celeste Amador, a senior, said, “I went to Honduras first then after I came back, I went to Ohio to go see family.” Lucas Bazoalto, a senior, said, “I went to New York and stayed for 3 days. It’s one of the best places anyone can go visit. It’s also super cool at night.” Randy Reyes, a freshman said, “I had gone to Honduras to go see family, but instead of going on plane we took my mom’s car, and it took 2 days to get there.”
Danielle Lawson, a junior, said, “My family has a very tight schedule so the only time I really got to see them was during the summer for one of my cousin’s birthdays party at Vero Beach.” They stayed at an Airbnb with her cousins and aunts for a couple of days. “The best part about that day was that we had karaoke and ice cream that night, so everyone there had a blast and enjoyed each other’s time together,” she said.
Ms. Guerra, a 10th grade English teacher, “I went to Idaho. There wasn’t any direct flight from Miami to Idaho so we took a flight to Alanta, instead of doing a 13 hour long connecting flight. We stayed in Atlanta for a few days then flew to Boise,” she said. “I went with my husband, my two kids, Boise was so beautiful, and Idaho in general is beautiful. I think Idaho is one of the states in the United States that is the most untouched nature. Boise is very different from Miami in many ways. For example, Miami is so congested, and the people are so rude. Boise was so clean and the people were amazing.”
Deashwan Holmes, a senior, said, “I didn’t really do much I just went to Tampa for business and basketball tournaments. I stayed 3 days in Tampa. I would like to go back because I was close to family over there and I went with my da and little sister in car.” Not everyone has a chance to go out during the summer because of work or money problems. Alexandra Rodriguez, a senior said, “I couldn’t go out this summer to the Bahamas because I started working. So instead, I started saving up for a car.”
