Math teacher and assistant track coach Mr. Strickland reports that districts took place on April 21, with up to three athletes representing the school in each event. Runners and field athletes who finished in the top four have now qualified for regionals.
Among those advancing is Davyn Riggins, who placed 2nd in girls shot put, and Whisky Jean-Baptiste, who placed 4th in boys shot put.
Saturday practices will continue at Moore Park from 12–3 p.m. until the end of the season. Mr. Strickland also announced that by the end of the year he will no longer serve as the assistant track coach.
